Temporary Nurse Aide ResourcesKDADS recently provided guidance to providers on EO 20-23 which allows for a Temporary Nurse Aide to be employed during this crisis. To be temporarily certified as a Temporary Nurse Aide, an individual must complete the free to anyone 8-hour online course as well as an associated skills competency checklist signed off by a licensed nurse. This course is hosted by ACHA, but you do not have to be a member or affiliated with a member to take the course. Individuals can take it before applying for a position. This is a great opportunity to temporarily skill up other employees in your building who do not have their CNA during the pandemic. Its also an opportunity to hire displaced workers.
