Payroll Based Journal (PBJ) for CCRC's and NSF's

Tuesday, June 6th | 1:00 - 2:00 PM

Description:

The PBJ system requires facilities to report hours worked by all employees in certain categories, including direct care staff, administrative staff, and contract staff. This data is then used to calculate a staffing ratio that is compared to CMS standards for the level of care provided. Facilities must submit PBJ reports quarterly, and the data is used to determine a facility's rating under the Five-Star Quality Rating System.

Payroll Based Journal requires facilities to electronically submit direct care staffing and census information on a quarterly basis. FORVIS will outline in this presentation the steps required for submission, review of automatic one-star issues, and potential audit risks.
