What is EBI Healthcare?

EBI Healthcare (LeadingAge Kansas Employee Benefits, Inc.) is the 501 c (9) nonprofit, self-funded Association-Sponsored Health Plan of LeadingAge Kansas, which represents aging services providers throughout the state. Its sole purpose is to provide excellent, affordable employee health insurance and ancillary benefit options for LeadingAge Kansas members and their employees.

LeadingAge Kansas EBI Announces Refreshed Identity as EBI Healthcare

LeadingAge Kansas Employee Benefits, Inc. is excited to announce that our health plan is transitioning our identity to EBI Healthcare: LeadingAge Kansas Employee Benefits, Inc. With this transition comes a new name and a new logo, but we the plan will retain the strength, stability, and service that has been developed over the years. Current EBI Healthcare members are encouraged to share this change with their teams and begin using updated materials to ensure consistent messaging and communications. EBI Welcomes 2 New Board Members

EBI is thrilled to welcome two new members to our Board of Trustees. Joining us in 2026 will be Judy Kregar, Administrator at Hill Top House in Bucklin, KS, and Tayci Helm, Director of Human Resources at Locust Grove Village in LaCrosse, KS. Thank you to Judy and Tayci for demonstrating their commitment to the EBI program as a part of our EBI Board.

As an EBI Healthcare Member, your organization can choose 2-4 plans from among our 9 Essential, Value and Enhanced plans to offer full-time employees. Plan rules and employee eligibility criteria apply.

Better Care/Better Outcomes

EBI Healthcare has specialty support programs to help your employees navigate the complex healthcare system, identify best care options, and to access professional care management for serious conditions such as cancer, kidney disease, diabetes and organ transplant. We include free 24/7/365 telemedicine appointments to diagnose, recommend treatment, and prescribe medication.

Avoid Overpaying for Major Healthcare Needs

EBI Healthcare assures that fair and reasonable prices are paid to health care providers and that you, your employees, and the Plan are not paying for billing mistakes or over charges. This helps keep premiums under control. EBI also offers a price transparency service that provide upfront cost and quality transparency for both medical and pharmacy needs.

Networks

Employees can go to the hospital of their choice since there in no restricted hospital network with EBI Healthcare. EBI Healthcare’s physician network is powered by PHCS, one of the nation’s largest PPO networks.

EBI Healthcare Entry Requirements:

To become an EBI Healthcare Member your organization must be a Kansas Aging Service Provider. To assure the financial stability of the Plan and protection of current Members, your employees and their dependents must undergo medical underwriting, and you must provide organization financial and administrative information. EBI Healthcare Members make a 2-year commitment to remain in the EBI Healthcare program.
