OSHA 10 Hour General Industry Outreach Training Program Sponsored by KING

The OSHA Outreach Training Program provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazard in workplaces. The program also provides information regarding workers’ rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. Through this program, workers can attend classes delivered by OSHA-authorized trainers.
The Outreach Training Program is a ten (10) hour program delivered over a two day period and includes both mandatory and elective topics tailored to our unique work environment. Attendees must attend both days and will receive a Student Course Completion Card.
Class size is limited to 30 people to ensure the quality of the program and the effective transfer of knowledge.
Who Should Attend Maintenance/Facility Engineers, Human Resource Managers, Safety and Health Professionals, Administrators
Faculty Travis Bennett, Loss Control Consultant, Thomas McGee. Travis has been the loss control consultant for the northeast part of the state for KING since 2013.
John Juresic, Loss Control Consultant, Thomas McGee. John has provided loss control services for KING members for three years.
Objectives
• Have a fuller understanding of OSHA requirements in the workplace • Be able to recognize and abate common hazards in the workplace • Have the ability to provide guidance in safety and health matters • Be better prepared in the event of an OSHA inspection • Be formally recognized by the Department of Labor for their participation
