General Participation

What is my username and password?

If you do not know your username and password, call the LeadingAge Kansas office at 1.800.264.5242 and any staff member will be able to help you.

Who do I call if I’m having difficulties registering for a webinar or event?

Contact Hayley Spicer, Events Manager at education@leadingagekansas.org or call 1.800.264.5242.

Can I register a co-worker for an event?

With our new system, we are pleased to say that you can now register yourself and more than one coworker and pay for the entire team with one transaction! If you have questions or need direction on how to register, contact the Education Team at education@leadingagekansas.org.

Am I participating in The EDGE Club this year?

The system should automatically provide the discounted price if your organization is enrolled in "The Edge".  If you believe you are a club member and your registration does not indicate a discount, please contact Hayley Spicer, Events Manager, at education@leadingagekansas.org or call 1.800.264.5242 for assistance.

I’m not a LeadingAge Kansas member. Can I still access your education activities?

Non-members are invited to LeadingAge Kansas events, at the non-member registration rate. Access the registration form on the education calendar at our website, www.leadingagekansas.org and follow the instructions given on the form. We hope you’ll consider becoming a member soon!

Webinars

Why are some of your webinars different prices than others?

Occasionally, LeadingAge Kansas will “underprice” webinars to ensure that the cost does not create a barrier to receiving the information. In these cases, club participation will not entitle the organization to a free or discounted webinar. Typically, the cost is $25. We hope you’ll understand that this allows greater access to the information. Do you have additional questions about your club participation? Events & Conferences

Do I need to print my own handouts for LeadingAge Kansas events?

Yes.  LeadingAge Kansas has a “print as needed” handout policy. Prior to the date of the conference or event, a link will be emailed to you where you can access and print the handouts of the sessions you plan to attend. Please be sure your correct email address is submitted on the registration form.

How do I request reasonable accommodation?

LeadingAge Kansas will make reasonable efforts to make our events accessible to persons with disabilities. If you need to request accommodations related to your disability, please contact us at 1.800.264.5242 at least ten days prior to the event.

What is the dress code for LeadingAge Kansas events?

Unless otherwise noted, the dress is business-casual. Dress comfortably and in layers for large, air-conditioned meetings rooms.

I don’t want my picture taken or used on promotional materials. How do I opt-out?

LeadingAge Kansas uses photographs and/or video recordings of our membership for general publicity in printed publications, social media, and on our website. Any individual (or the parents or guardians of such person) who does not want to be photographed or recorded, is welcome to notify the Education Team at education@leadingagekansas.org and we will be happy to omit their images from general publicity.

What is your refund policy on education events?

We generally do not provide refunds for missed events. In the event that surveyors are in your building at the time of the event, you will receive a full refund for the staff members that are registered and not able to attend. In the event of a family emergency for the registered staff member, you will receive a refund less a $50 administrative fee. This must be verified by the staff member’s supervisor/administrator. You must contact us within 10 days of the event to receive the refund.

May I send a substitute if I cannot attend the event?

Yes, substitutes are welcome. However, if the event has multiple sessions or spans multiple days, you may not send a substitute for specific sessions, dates, or aspects of the event. The substitute must attend the entire event in your place.
