Description:
This session focuses on high-level financial oversight for Administrators and Owners, providing practical strategies to strengthen revenue cycle management and improve financial performance. Topics include understanding the anatomy of an aging report by analyzing balances across 30-, 60-, 90-, and 120+ day categories; calculating and benchmarking DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) to evaluate your facility’s cash flow efficiency; distinguishing between bad debt and contractual allowances to better manage the bottom line; and developing a “collector’s mindset” by training staff to confidently and compassionately discuss private pay responsibilities with families.

Objectives:
-- Calculate the facility's benchmarks for healthy AR to measure the efficiency of the revenue cycle.
-- Interpret an Aging Report to prioritize collections based on "collectability' and dollar value. 
-- Present a monthly "Financial health Summary" to the Board or Ownership group.

Harrison Cobb is the Chief Operating Officer at MCA Medical Billing Solutions, L.L.C, where he focuses on building strong teams, improving operations, and helping healthcare organizations thrive. A graduate of Olathe Northwest High School (Class of 2008), Harrison went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice & Legal Studies from Missouri Western State University in 2013. He later completed his MBA at Baker University in 2015.
Outside of his professional work, Harrison is a devoted husband and father of two beautiful children, along with the family dog who keeps everyone on their toes. He enjoys serving the church, writing, reading, and coaching baseball. Whether in business, faith, or family, Harrison brings dedication, integrity, and a passion for helping others grow.
