The more we learn about COVID-19 the more symptoms and more treatments are discovered.  With this novel virus we still have some much more to learn but Dr. Ryan Sears will be presenting the latest information and research about COVID-19. 

Goals: 1. Interventions within the facility for recovery. 2. To discuss advanced care plans 3. Palliation for residents who request to die in place. 4. to identify who needs to be admitted to the hospital setting. 5. Preventing spread to your other residents.

Presenter:
Dr. Ryan Sears, D.O., is a graduate of Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine where he obtained his undergraduate degree. From there, Dr. Sears completed the Family Medicine residency program through the University of Missouri Kansas City. He continued his education with further specialty training in Geriatrics at the University of Missouri Kansas City.
He has been a practicing Geriatrician with Kansas City Medicine Partners for 3 years and has been the Regional Medical Director for the practice for the last 8 months.  He has served on committees regarding testing, treating, prevention and palliation regarding Sars-CoV-2.
