Facilitators

John Harned Headshot

 

John Harned is a member of BKD National Health Care Group, John has 27 years of experience in the senior living industry. His expertise encompasses reimbursement, operational excellence, strategic planning and many aspects of senior living finance. John is the coordinator of BKD’s Life Plan Communities (CCRCs) practice and focuses on delivering strategic solutions to senior living providers. John is a 1990 graduate of Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, with a B.S. degree in accounting and a 1991 graduate with an M.S. degree in accounting. He is also a 2010 graduate of Ave Maria University, Florida, with a master’s degree in theological studies.  

 

 


 

Karen Sturchio Headshot

 

Karen Sturchio is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Kansas Christian Home. Karen most recently served in the Via Christi Health system as the Executive Director for Via Christi HOPE.  Karen is a solid leader who demonstrates her leadership and industry knowledge daily in operations, quality improvement, and employee engagement.  Karen believes true empowerment and staff engagement creates a supportive culture where residents and staff flourish.  

 


 

Coaches

Andrew Hudspeth HeadshotAndrew Hudspeth is the Human Resources Director at Kansas Christian Home in Newton, Kansas. Andrew graduated and received a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management and Leadership from Friends University in 2010. He later completed graduate school at Newman University where he received a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Leadership in 2012. Andrew has been a certified professional in the world’s largest HR professional society; Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) since 2009. Andrew is also certified by the HR Certification Institute. Andrew is a Strategic Leader and Business Professional with more than 14 years’ experience in Human Resources 7 of those years in the healthcare industry. I look forward to the opportunity to learn and serve on the design team for the Elite Leadership Program as Leading Age Kansas continues its momentum in mission to assist in providing outstanding services and supports to older Kansans through advocacy, education, and networking.


 

Jenna Lehrman Headshot

 

 

Jenna Lehrman is the Director of Nursing at Pine Village in Moundridge. She graduated from the Center for Leadership in 2014. She received an Associates degree from Hesston College in 2006 and a from a Bachelors in Nursing from Tabor College in 2010. Jenna is excited to be a part of the Center for Leadership again in a different role and to continue to grow as a leader through collaboration with the fellows and the rest of the design team.

 




 

Joanna Randall Headshot

 

Joanna Randall is the Executive Director for the Good Samaritan Society – Communities of Olathe. She has worked for Good Samaritan for 21 years.  I graduated from the Center for Leadership in 2009, the first year that it was offered. She was a fellow as well as a coach that first year, has helped as a coach for 2 other years and helped facilitate for one year. Joanna believes that The Center for Leadership is an amazing program and she continues to learn new things about herself and leadership at every meeting she attends. She is a KSU and WSU graduate…go CATS! Joanna hase an undergrad in Business Administration with a secondary in gerontology, and a masters in Public Health. She is excited to be on the CFL design team again this year as it is wonderful to meet  new people, find inspiration from other leaders, and continue on my personal leadership journey.
