Requests for Educational Presentations  

LeadingAge Kanas invites you to submit your proposal(s) for 2024 educational sessions. We are looking for engaging, relevant and forward-thinking sessions that will be of benefit to members across the aging services continuum. These members include nursing facilities, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, home health, hospice, CCRC, Lifeplan communities, HCBS and PACE. 

This is your chance to share innovative and effective models, best practices, cutting edge research, updates and critical information, providing your colleagues and/or clients with new approaches and solutions to address challenges they face.  

Please keep in mind the presentations should be educational in nature.  The selling, promoting, or pitching any specific product, company or service is prohibited. 

Planned Education Events for 2024

  • Spring Conference and Expo April 9-11 in Manhattan, KS 
  • Fall Conference September 18 in Salina, KS 
  • Other in-person and workshops at varied locations 
  • Webinar and virtual trainings 
  • On-demand learning opportunities 

Proposal Submission 

  • To apply you must complete application form.  A different form should be submitted for each session you with to propose.  

  • Proposals will be accepted at any time but to be considered for the Fall Conference and Expo in September, you must have your session(s) submitted no later than June 5, 2024.   

  • You will be contacted if your proposal was selected for the spring conference by no later than July 15.  If you are not selected, we will keep your submission and consider it for other events. For other educational events you will be contacted at least eight weeks prior to the training if selected.   

Selection process 

Educational programs are designed to accommodate a variety of learning formats including traditional instruction, case studies, panel discussions, facilitated networking/sharing, and innovative approaches. Sessions featuring LeadingAge Kansas members or highlighting their innovative practices are encouraged. This year we are placing a strong emphasis on sessions that are interactive, application-based or use innovative teaching methods as well as sessions that help our members with innovation, future planning, and solving current challenges.  Need inspiration, take a look at this list of topic ideas. 

Our education planning team will evaluate proposals based on: 

  • Relevance to our members 

  • Overall quality of content 

  • Timeliness of subject matter 

  • Engaging, interactive and innovative teaching and learning methods
